Adopting Family FAQs

How do we apply?

Please submit an initial contact form through our website.  A member of the committee will reach out to you to provide the application.  After reviewing your application and references, we will contact you to sep up an interview.

What references do you require?

Please provide a letter of reference from your pastor and one other friend or family member.

How will I be notified of the decision? How long will it take?

You will receive an email with the approval or regrets.  The decision process is a prayerful one, but we understand the urgency.  We will do our best to reply to you in a timely manner.

What is the grant amount?

Each adoption scenario is different, and the need is varied.  The amount of the grant will be determined based on the need for each specific family.

How will funds be distributed?

A check will be mailed to the agency or vendor as we receive documentation of billing.

What do you consider a biblically based Godly family?

A man and woman united by marriage (Genesis 2:24), who confess Christ as Savior (Romans 10:9), who consistently attend and support their church financially (Hebrews 10:25) and who are raising children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

Do we need a current approved home study to apply?

You will need an approved home study before your grant can be approved; however, we may have options to help you overcome any financial obstacles to this.  Please contact us if you need help on this important first step.

Are awards based on income?

Income will be part of the equation, but not the only factor.  We want to be good stewards of the funds that have been donated and help as many children as possible with what we have.  We will ask that you first evaluate the other resources you have available.

Is it possible to apply if we’ve received a grant in the past?

Absolutely.  We would welcome considering your family for subsequent grants.

If we receive a regrets letter, may we re-apply or be reconsidered?

Once you’ve received a regrets letter, you cannot re-apply for the current adoption.  If you adopt again in the future, you are welcome to apply again.

Do you offer resources and support?

We want to offer more than just financial support to our families.  We have supporters who include attorneys, pastors, and adoptive families that can help you with the many questions that will come.  We will also join with you in prayer through this very exciting, very emotional journey.
